Our Beliefs & Values

We Believe

  •  We believe there is one God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—who is eternal and who created all things.

  • We believe the Father sent the Son, Jesus Christ, who was God in human form, to establish God’s kingdom.

  • We believe Jesus died for our sins, was buried, was raised from the dead, and returned to heaven to be with the Father.

  • We believe salvation is possible only through the gracious work of God, who saves those who believe in Jesus Christ, repent of their sins, and are baptized.

  • We believe the Father and Son send the Holy Spirit as a gift to live inside those who believe so that He might transform them into the likeness of Christ.

  • We believe Christ will return some day.

  • We believe God reveals this good news through the Bible, which is His authoritative word for our lives.

We Value

God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—above all else.

The kingdom of God, which resides within our hearts and extends beyond our universe.

The church, the community of those who have accepted God’s gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.

Scripture, God’s living, active, and inspired word.

Worship, offered to God in the way we live daily and in the assembly of the community of faith.

Spiritual formation, the process of being transformed into the likeness of Christ.

The pursuit of authentic relationships, which grow out of our common bond in Christ through the Holy Spirit.

Unity, diversity, and love, living in community with those who are forgiven and restored in Christ.

Freedom in Christ, filtering traditions and issues through the nature of God, the gospel, and Scripture.

The involvement of every believer, as each uses the gifts the Holy Spirit gives for ministry.

Families, created by God to experience intimate relationship and to model it to the world.

Our neighbors, those living around us in our towns, those we work with, go to school with, and interact with each day.

Those who do not have a relationship with God through Christ, praying that God will use us to bring them into a relationship with Him.

The many good traditions and the highest ideals of our Restoration heritage.

Other Christian communities who stand on the gospel of Christ, to whom we might extend blessings and from whom we might receive blessings.
