The leadership of East Sunshine is continually seeking to grow in sharing life in Jesus.  We believe that as a church family, one of the primary reasons God has connected us as a body of believers is to help make us more like Him through these relationships.  We have an incredible opportunity whenever we gather together in the name of Jesus to share true life – life that can deeply transform us and empower us to live the Jesus way of life.

Along with our family assembly on Sunday mornings, another relational environment that we strongly encourage you to participate in is a small group.  This fall we will begin a new season of small groups and we are excited about exploring a number of different ways in which we can grow together in that context.  Along with new groups that will be formed, there will be additional resources that will be available for small groups to use, helping us to grow in sharing life UP, IN and OUT.

Also, this fall we will begin a new calendar for our small groups.  We will basically try to follow the “school calendar” where we have 3 terms – fall, spring and summer.  Each term will be followed by a few weeks of “rest.”  We believe this simple structure will help us as we embrace and maximize the various seasons of our lives.

Another thought as we close this article……Although small groups usually tend to focus on sharing life “IN” with each other and “UP” with God, we must remember that a small group environment is also a great place to share life “OUT” with others such as neighbors, friends, co-workers.  So, talk about it as a small group and prayerfully follow the Spirit as He leads you to others who need Jesus!
